Adjustment of Shipping Costs

Dear Customers,

Our shipping services are handled by leading courier, express, and parcel (CEP) providers. Due to current market conditions, all of these providers have announced price increases of up to 15%. These adjustments are driven by several factors: 

• Rising operating expenses and a significant increase in the statutory minimum wage

• Inflation-related cost increases both domestically and internationally, particularly in the parcel sector, which exceed general consumer price inflation

• Increasing administrative requirements, as well as higher network and vehicle operating costs

• Capacity constraints in both regional and long-distance transportation

Despite ongoing investments in efficiency and process improvements, CEP providers are unable to fully offset these rising costs through productivity gains alone. As mds relies on these partners, we are required to pass on the resulting shipping cost increases.

We appreciate your understanding that shipping rates for both domestic and international deliveries will change effective from December 15, 2025. Should opportunities for further optimization arise, we will of course pursue them. Please note that these changes may also lead to adjustments to our shipping terms and conditions. 

      As of 05.01.2026, some prices in the Schott Music publishing group programme will change.
